We will be training at our 6,400 sq. ft. facillity.
The center has a 4,000 sq. ft. fencing area with 9
strips, including 7 machines with the new FIE timing, which allow maximum fencing time
for all camp attendees.
Athletes will be housed with the families of
fencers in the Rochester area.
Program:
This camp is geared towards the competitive fencer.
Training will involve various types of tactical
bouting and bout analysis.
Time will be spent on technical development
and understanding the game of fencing. We
feel that one of the most important aspects
of a camp is to give fencers from different
areas the opportunity to bout with one another
in competitive and non-competitive situations.
Camp Format:
There will be two to three sessions
daily focusing on the following areas:
Footwork and tactical drills
Bouting and Tactical bouting
Competition using various formats
Arrivals and Departures:
Athletes attending the camp should arrive on Wednesday,
December 26th, and plan on leaving the evening of the 31st, or on
the morning of January 1st.
Transportation to and from the airport/train station
will be provided by the host families between the
hours of 8:00AM and 10:00PM. Please make your ticket
times accordingly. Extended stays must be approved
in advance.
Please let us know how you plan to arrive so
arrangements can be made to pick you up.
Cost $500.00
This includes all meals and lodging. Camp size is
limited, so mail your completed registration
and $50.00 NONREFUNDABLE application fee as soon as possible
to reserve your spot in the camp. Balance is due by
December 18th. No refunds will be given for any reason after this
date. Checks should be made payable to RFC.

In partial consideration of our childs acceptance into the
Rochester Fencing Club Foil Camp, I/We as
parents and/or legal guardians of ________________________
do hereby agree to waive all liability of the
Rochester Fencing Club and its staff, for
any accident, injury, illness or other mishap
which might befall the above named camper while
traveling to or from or during his/her attendance
at the Rochester Fencing Club Camp.
Further, I/We hereby grant permission to the staff
and any medical or surgical consultant deemed advisable,
and any hospital to render to the above-named camper
any medical and/or surgical treatment that they deem
necessary. I/We understand that all possible effort
will be made to inform me/us in case of such treatment.
Rochester Fencing Club reserves the right to send a
camper home if the need arises.
